Memoir, literary and personal essay, narrative nonfiction and related forms.
Graphic, Hybrid & Experimental
Work whose literary form crosses conventional boundaries or depends materially on visual structure.

How the cycle moves.
The timeline is public from the beginning. Recognition deepens from Longlist to Shortlist to Winner; the published caps are ceilings, not quotas.
Literature first
We read the work. We ask about the relationship. We judge the literature.
Relation before percentage. Trust before surveillance.
MIELOGOS does not count AI-generated words, reward the number of models or demand complete prompt archives. A good-faith declaration is the normal starting point.
Judging
Openly human–AI. Institutionally human-responsible.
AI assessments are arguments, not votes. Disagreement is information, not failure.
One or more models, providers or analytical configurations may produce independent or comparative readings.
Works approaching Longlist, Shortlist and Winner receive progressively deeper human literary consideration.
No AI system exercises independent institutional authority over recognition.
Prize years
An archive designed to grow, not be rebuilt.
2027 is the first record in a permanent annual structure. Future cycles, works, authors and recognitions will accumulate here without replacing earlier years.
